George* was depressed.

George was a middle-aged, hard-working lawyer from Boston. He was a partner in his firm and well-respected by his peers. Despite his success at work and others’ admiration, he felt depressed but couldn’t figure out why.

He just wanted to feel good again.

There was a time when life felt great, and getting up in the morning was exciting. His days were filled with joyful accomplishments, meaningful connections, and direction. His nights were filled with romance and sound restful sleep.

Oh! How he longs for those days again and wishes to go back to a time when being alive felt amazing.

Sarah* was grappling with perfectionism and relationship issues.

Sarah was a 29-year-old massage therapist in Connecticut who felt like a failure. Her perfectionism at work, lack of fulfillment in life, and trouble with her connections led to intense anxiety. She was afraid of doing something wrong at work despite her lengthy experience and success. She also had trust issues in relationships and friendships, which made her feel hopeless.

Sarah longed to feel more confident in her craft and secure in her connections with herself and others.

Sarah wished to find that secret ingredient to make her life wonderful again.

She wanted a life that no longer felt empty, where she wasn’t anxious, and relationships felt meaningful again. Sometimes, she questioned her existence, wondering if it is worth it. Deep down, she knew things could improve and her life would be meaningful – but how?

Jessica* feels unfulfilled in life after losing her mom.

Jessica was a 30-year-old registered nurse in NYC with her husband. They had been trying to have a baby for a while, but things changed when her mom passed. She lost all motivation and felt disconnected from everything – husband, job, family.

After several failed attempts to get pregnant, finally succeeding, and having a miscarriage, she was at a dead end.

Friends and family gave trite advice like, “Just shake it off and move on.” “Time heals all wounds.”

Unbearable pain and grief kept Jessica depressed.

Every day that passed, Jessica felt worse. She questioned why everyone was happy but her. She wanted to go back to a time when life felt vibrant.

That’s what made Jessica reach out and schedule a session.

Chaim* is looking to feel truer to himself.

Chaim was a 45-year-old Jewish software engineer in Boston who felt challenged in all areas of his life – with his relationships, himself, others, and G-d. He had a hard time connecting with others and questioned his existence and whether his life had a purpose.

He presented himself as devoutly religious but found himself straying from his faith and then feeling guilty about it.

He longed for clarity and acceptance.

Chaim just wanted to find love and friendship that was reciprocal and to feel respected by others. Resolving contradictions with his faith and accepting himself would help him return to a life he loved.
